Providing a safe working environment for your employees is a key responsibility for any employer. A major part of that responsibility is keeping your team safe in the event of fire.
At Marpol Security, we supply businesses throughout the East of England with trained and qualified fire marshals who will deal with all aspects of fire safety. With decades of combined experience in their respective roles, they are an essential addition to companies across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk.
As the East of England’s leading provider of fire marshals and fire warden solutions, we have much to offer companies in the region. Here are some of the services we provide:
The first job our fire marshal’s will undertake is a thorough assessment of your company’s existing fire safety procedures. The will compile a report based on this initial assessment, identifying any areas where you current precautions fail to meet Fire Precautions Act 1971 regulations.
The fire marshal’s role, in essence, is to minimise fire hazards on company property. They will liaise with your management team, employees, and local fire department to compose a safe and effective fire prevention strategy.
As well as ensuring your workplace is a safe environment, fire marshals are also responsible training certain members of your staff to act as fire wardens. This is necessary, as the fire marshals themselves normally cover several buildings at a time and need a reliable, on-site crew to handle day-to-day fire safety. Your fire wardens will assist with the evacuations and fire drills, as well as being fully-trained to use fire safety equipment, including extinguishers and fire blankets.
As part of their risk assessment, our fire marshals will also take a look at the current fire evacuation procedures at your company, making such adjustments as they think necessary to ensure maximum employee safety. They will then cascade these changes to the rest of your team through their fire wardens. Our fire marshals will also be responsible for arranging regular fire drills for your staff.
