Like alarm response officers, the role of key holder was once left to an employee of the company. Should an emergency occur outside of business hours – anything from a fire or a bomb threat, to a triggered alarm and more – the key holder would be expected to attend the scene to provide access to police or other emergency services.
As with the alarm response role, key holder duties are now often delegated to third party firms like Marpol Security. We provide effective key holding solutions to companies based across the East of England. Our trained, local security professionals guarantee a fast and effective response, wherever your property is located. This includes clients in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk.
As the East of England’s leading provider of key holding services, we have much to offer companies in the region. Here are some of the services we provide:
Our key holders form part of our local mobile patrol units. In the event of a triggered alarm, they will be the contact point for your alarm company. Since they are already active in your local area, they can be at the scene within minutes to assist police and other attendees with any investigation.
While alarms are the most common reason for a key holder to be called to your premises, they will also do so in the event of other emergency situations. This covers a wide range of possibilities – everything from fires and bomb threats to storm damage and more. Once you have approved our service, we will have ourselves listed as the point of contact for your firm in the event of an emergency.
Once the situation has been resolved, our key holders will compose a detailed report of the events as they occurred. This will include their own observations, combined with those of other attendees (such as emergency services personnel) and any witnesses. Initially these reports are returned to the team here at Marpol Security who will use to them to identify possible improvements to your security package. These will be appended to the report and forwarded onto your management team.
