The role of a key holder is a simple one. Their job is to attend your business premises in the event of a security alarm being triggered outside of regular working hours. The role was traditionally given to a staff member, but many companies have rightly recognised that this puts their employees at an unacceptable level of risk.
Marpol Security offer a simple solution – delegating the position of key holder to one of our highly-trained security professional. We deliver key holding services to businesses across the North East. This covers Northumberland, County Durham, Tyne and Wear, and Cleveland (including Teesside, Wearside, and Tyneside).
As the North East’s leading provider of key holding services, we have much to offer companies in the region. Here are some of the services we provide:
Any breach of your security system will be picked by our remote monitoring team. They will instruct the key holder to rush to the premises to investigate the problem. They will search for any sign of break-in or vandalism and seek to secure the building, where necessary. If the police have been called – perhaps by nearby residents – our key holder will liaise with them accordingly. As soon as everything has settled down, they will then lock up the building and reset the alarm.
Triggered alarms are not the only reason for a key holder to attend your property. Emergency call-outs also form part of their responsibilities. These would include fires, storm damage, bomb threats, and the like. Whatever the emergency might be, our fully-licensed security experts will be on hand to allow access to the building and to liaise with the emergency services in attendance.
No matter what the cause of the call-out might be, our key holders will produce a detailed report. In it, they will include their own version of the events, together with any findings or information provided by the police or other emergency services. If the security breach suggests that the current system is not fit for purpose, our key holder will also put forward any recommendations for improvement.
