The role of a key holder is pretty simple – they attend your company property should a security alarm be triggered outside of office hours. This saves a member of your staff being called out in the middle of the night and potentially putting themselves in harm’s way.
At Marpol Security, we deliver key holding services to businesses across the East Midlands. This takes in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland.
As the East Midlands’s leading provider of key holding services, we have much to offer companies in the region. Here are some of the services we provide:
Our remote monitoring team will detect any breach of your security system. One of their first actions will be to instruct your key holder to attend the building and investigate the breach. They will look for signs vandalism or a break-in attempt and take steps to secure the building. This may involve calling a locksmith or boarding up broken windows. If police officers are on the scene, you key holder will liaise with them appropriately. Once things have settled down, their final act will be to reset the alarm, lock up the building, and compile a report.
Key holders don’t just get called out for tripped security alarms – they are also on-call in the event of an emergency situation. This can include fires (deliberately set or not), storm damage, bomb threats, and similar incidents. Whatever the situation might be, we guarantee one of our fully-licensed security professional will be on the scene. They will allow access to the building for emergency services personnel and will act as a liaison point between them and your company.
For every call-out, our keyholders will compile and submit a detailed report to the team here at Marpol Security. This will be comprised of their own version of events, combined with such findings or information that the police have provided. We read through every one of these reports. If they imply that your current security system is not fit for purpose, we will come up with an appropriate recommendation for improvement.
