Broadly speaking, many of our services can be categorised as manned guarding or remote surveillance solutions. In this article, we’re going to discuss what each of those terms means and which is better for you and your business.
What Is Manned Guarding?
Manned guarding (sometimes known as static security) covers any service that includes a physical presence by our trained security professionals. This can include on-site guards operating during the day or night, concierge security manning your reception area, and K9 units to cover open premises. Typically, they will remain on the site in full view for the duration of their shift, acting as both a visual and practical deterrent to would-be trespassers or troublemakers.
What Is Remote Surveillance?
Remote surveillance normally refers to closed-circuit television (or CCTV) that streams a live video feed directly to our remote monitoring unit. The CCTV systems themselves come in a variety of forms, including fixed CCTV installed permanently at your premises and quick-deploy CCTV towers that can be erected in minutes to cover car parks, open fields, building sites, and more. Should our surveillance team spot any unusual activity, they can instruct a local rapid response unit to intervene.
Which Is the Right Security Solution For Me?
There is never a one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to matters of security. Sometimes, what works for one company might be completely unsuitable for another. Other times, some clients will insist on one type of security or the other purely out of personal preference. Most commonly, however, our security solutions are a careful mix of manned guarding and remote surveillance services, carefully tailored to meet the needs of the client in question.
