On the 19th of July 2021, the last of the national restrictions for combatting COVID-19 were lifted in England. For the first time in over a year venues such as nightclubs and theatres were able to open again, while other places, such as pubs, restaurants, retail outlets, and sports venues were allowed to operate at full capacity.
The move has been welcomed by many industry leaders and business owners as it gives companies an opportunity to recoup some of the losses they have suffered over the last 15+ months. With these drastic changes, of course, come new challenges with regard to security. Here at Marpol Security, we are always looking for ways to assist our clients.
Here are a few solutions that might help
Manned Security
Under the latest guidance, it is up to individual businesses whether they choose to enforce mask-wearing, social distancing, and other preventative measures in their establishments. As independent companies, they can deny service to any customer for any reason. With opinions sharply divided on the efficacy of COVID prevention in general and mask-wearing in particular, you may feel more comfortable with an on-site security presence to ensure your customers are following your in-house rules.
Nightclub Security
With nightclubs being allowed to open for the first time in months, it is hardly surprising that they will be packed with people out for a night of fun. With alcohol running freely and the safety of your patrons being your top priority, it is sensible to recruit SIA-licensed security professionals to handle queue and crowd control, both outside and inside your venue.
Event Security
Sporting events, music festivals, theatre shows, and other live events are back for the people of England. Here at Marpol Security, we can provide you with trained and experienced event security personnel to act as stewards, ushers, or in another on-site security role. As well as protecting your staff, visitors, and venue, they can also assist in guiding patrons to their seats, checking tickets, and other tasks.
Mobile Patrols
As the nightclubs open up and the bars extend their licensing hours, city centres are going to get busy again. Even if your company operates normal 9-to-5 hours, you might be concerned about your premises being vandalised by revellers who’ve had a bit too much to drink. Our mobile patrols cover the local neighbourhoods surrounding our clients’ buildings, keeping a careful eye on them and intervening in the event of trouble.
