Key holders are expected to be a single point of contact for police and other emergency services, in the event of a serious incident at a corporate or commercial building. The role was often given to a trusted member of staff who lived in the local area and could be depended upon to liaise with the authorities following a break-in, arson attempt, or other incident. Now considered a potentially dangerous role for an employee, many companies choose to outsource the responsibility to a third party provider.
Marpol Security provides just such as service to businesses across Yorkshire and the Humber. We have clients in the East Riding of Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire and, of course, Yorkshire itself, making use of this effective and important security solution.
As the leading provider of key holding services across Yorkshire and the Humber, we have much to offer companies in the region. Here are some of the services we provide:
A key holder forms part of our alarm response procedures. Should an alarm be triggered on your property, they will be alerted to the fact and attend the scene as soon as they can. Should the incident have attracted the attention of the police, they will assist with any investigation before checking the building themselves, securing it, and resetting the alarm.
More serious incidents (including arson attempts, criminal damage, and bomb threat) will also require a key holder on the scene. They can help provide access to the building for emergency services, as well as providing on-site assistance, where required.
No matter the reason for being called out, our key holders compile a detailed and accurate report for each occurrence. This includes their own chronology of events, notes from the police or other emergency services, and details of subsequent steps taken. Should they have any recommendations for alternative or additional security measures, these will also be mentioned in the report.
