Fire marshals and fire warden solutions

across Lancashire

As a company owner, it is your responsibility to ensure the safety of your staff whilst they are on your work premises and a key part of the role includes fire safety. This is why it is essential to hire a fully-trained and qualified fire marshal to minimise fire risks in the workplace.

Here at Marpol Security, we provide fire marshals to businesses across the Lancashire area. This includes companies in Accrington, Atherton, Blackburn, Blackpool, Burnley, Chorley, Cleveleys, Clitheroe, Darwen, Fleetwood, Lancaster, Lytham St. Annes, Morecambe, Ormskirk, Oswaldtwistle, Poulton-le-Fylde, Preston, Skelmersdale, and beyond.

WHAT MARPOL SECURITY CAN DO FOR YOU

As Lancashire’s leading provider of fire marshals and fire warden solutions, we have much to offer companies across the county. Here are some of the services we provide:

Risk management

The first task performed by your new fire marshal will be an in-depth assessment of your current fire safety measures. They will perform a complete inspection of your buildings and grounds to identify potential fire risks. They will then compile a detailed report, advising what steps should be taken to bring your premises in line with the Fire Precautions Act 1971.

Fire prevention

The risk assessment report compiled by your fire marshal will be used to produce a range of fire prevention measures. The fire marshal will liaise with your management team, your staff, and the local fire department to get feedback regarding any concerns regarding fire safety.

Fire warden training

In addition to making fire safety recommendations, your fire marshal will also be on hand to train up staff as fire wardens. Their role will be to keep the rest of your team safe in the event of a fire, should the fire marshal not be on site. They will be trained in fire safety – including the use of fire safety equipment – and be responsible for co-ordinating evacuations during fire alarms and drills.

Fire evacuation

Part of our fire marshal’s initial risk assessment will be to determine the effectiveness of evacuation procedures currently in place at your company. They will provide recommendations for improvement to your management team, which will then be cascaded to the rest of your staff with the help of their fire wardens. Our fire marshal will also arrange regular fire drills to allow your employees to familiarise themselves with the latest evacuation process.
