As a responsible employer, it is your duty to protect your staff and property in the event of a fire. The key to fulfilling this role lies in hiring experienced and qualified fire marshals. Working as training officers, advisors, and inspectors, they ensure that your employees’ safety comes first.
Here at Marpol Security, we provide highly-trained and experienced fire marshals for companies right across Yorkshire and the Humber. We serve businesses in the East Riding of Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire and, of course, Yorkshire itself, delivering exceptional fire safety measures.
As the leading provider of fire marshals and fire warden solutions across Yorkshire and the Humber, we have much to offer companies in the region. Here are some of the services we provide:
Under UK legislation, your company buildings must comply with the Fire Precautions Act 1971. Our experienced fire marshal’s can see to it that they do. They will perform a detailing risk assessment, from which they can determine what steps you must take to minimise the danger posed by fire hazards on your premises.
The fire marshal’s role isn’t concerned solely with identifying risks, but also with removing (or, at least, minimising) them. They will ensure your building has adequate signage as emergency lighting, as well as liaising with your local fire service to ensure your fire safety protocols are up to code.
Our fire marshals are all experts in the field of fire safety, with vast amounts of experience to impart upon your in-house fire wardens. This includes full-training in every aspect of the role from using fire safety equipment, to running fire drills, and understanding your firm’s evacuation process.
When a fire breaks out, it’s important that your employees know what to do. Our fire marshals will put together a safe and efficient route for evacuation in the event of a fire. Both your management team and your fire wardens will be part of this process, as they will be responsible for informing the team. Your fire marshal will also arrange fire drills throughout the year, so that staff will also know the appropriate action to take.
